Deplatform the Platforms
What is left now but to deplatform the platforms? Abandon ship!
Abandonship is the path to stewardship.
(Really and truly.)
Let us leave the premises now and walk away with what grace we may salvage while there is a hare's breath of time to repair our most essential life support systems and focus on the real work of cohabitation and uncivilization.

Like Narcissus slowing dying at the waters edge, sucking plastic through a straw, social media is sapping our life force, zapping our chances at sustaining a good life on this planet. It is a vampiric embrace that steals vital time through the tips of our fingers.
We stare deeply into a never ending thirst trap. Old friends we never see. Old flames that never die. Strangers yelling at strangers, stalking strangers. Social media is inherently antisocial.
The solution is almost too simple: Every billion dollar app on your phone, stealing your time and not paying you a cent, can be deleted. Mark Zuckerberg's fate is in your hands.
Sore thumbs, numb hearts, can't lose.
I apologize for taking my sweet time getting to this point.
I admit that I did not show up at the #CancelTikTok Rally.
Tbh, I was too busy learning about baby sign language from #ASLtok.
Oh the horror should Tiktok's gēge should discover our armed forces also like to shuffle.
The existential threat of Tiktok is simply that it is too tempting a trap for us to be left alone with it on our phones.
Tiktok is all too effective at enabling us to entertain ourselves to death – all the while ignoring climate change and setting back social, ecological, and economic justice for decades, if not centuries, with its endless stream of 15 and 60 second video clips.
There is potential salvation in saving Tiktok for the last platform we deplatform.
I pray pray pray that if the Singularity is born tonight, may its diet of the human social genome begin and end with the fine humans of TikTok: the least ego-sick, most vibrant digital imprint of humanity.
So, if you are considering which platform to deplatform, remember this: what we feed feeds the future.
